Hello readers. I have had much going on in my personal life so my computer time is very limited. I do see things slowing down very soon so hopefully I can keep up with my blog. Since my last visit I have had some stitching news to share.

My online stitching community, Needleworkers' Haven, had a lovely Valentine Exchange. I received the nicest package in the mail from a member at Needleworkers' Haven, Wendy. Thank you so much for the lovely exchange goodies Wendy. I love everything I received. Here is a pic of my goodies.

I have also been busy stitching on a Needleworkers' Haven Monthly Themed SAL for March which was a green theme. I chose a lovely "Shamrock Sampler" by Pelin Tezer which a got at
PatternsOnline.com. Here the picture of the finished (stitching at least) piece.

Moving on I would like to share my own design I did for my DD's birthday in February. I still need to paint the wooden box that this will end up being placed on. Once I can get some free time I will be able to do that. This is called "Lady Bug Love" by Little Old Me Designs. Please take a moment to vist my LOMD blog. There are freebies there for you to grab if you would like.

I also completed my Christmas ornament for February too! This is for my sweet sister. She loves designs like this so I thought this would be a nice addition to her beautiful tree this year. This is a freebie from Cross Eyed Cricket called "Christmas Wish".

I have also been busy stitching on my "The Night Before Christmas" piece I designed (Little Old Me Designs) for Needleworkers' Haven members only. I used my Patternmaker Pro, some clipart from PMP, PC Stitch 7 & leaflets I own. I put it all together last year to use as a SAL for my online stitching community only. This is my progess as of March 26th. This is a very big project but one I will cherish always. I hope this will become an heirloom piece to be handed down in my family for many years to come.

I think this about catches me up with all my stitching news. On a personal note, our daughter and granddaughter will be moving into a house of their own this week. It will be so quiet here and I will have time to do the things I have had to let go for the past two and a half years. I hope I will remember how to handle all the me time. LOL It's time for our girl to fly from our nest and make one of their own. Ron and I truly wish them the best that life offers. We are very happy for them and they will only be about a mile around the corner from us.

Well dear readers, until the next update I wish you all the very best. Enjoy your spring weather and may you each be richly blessed each day. Until later....

Valentine Heart Finish

Hello readers! Yesterday I finished a little freebie from Find Stitch called Valentine Heart. I stitched it up in a day. I really love the way it came out. This is for my daughter for her birthday coming up on the 11th. Just one of a couple designs I am doing for her.

I also have to share a little story with you. Once I finished this heart my little 2 year old Granddaughter had to hold it. She was so excited with it and told me "Nana, it's beautiful. Can I have a purple heart?" Well, I guess Nana has to stitch it again in purple to please my little Valentine Chloe. LOL

Happy New Year!

I know. I'm a tad bit late in my greeting. Unfortunately I had another computer crash and lost everything. I have been so bummed over that. But the good news is that I am slowly getting things back up and running. We are definitely going to looking into getting an external hard drive. My backup files I had on a flash drive were lost in the process. No one seems to be able to really tell me why that happened but it did. Needless to say I wasn't very happy.

While the computer was down I did get a chance (in between illnesses) to do some stitching. I finished my first ornament and stitching of 2009. This is a design I have loved for a long time and finally stitched it up.

Details:
Christmas Heart by Birds of a Feather
2000 JCS Christmas Ornament Issue
28 ct oyster linen by MCG Textiles (I have decided I do not like this fabric to stitch on!! )
WDW threads
Kreinik #4 Braid - Gold

I also finished a very pretty bookmark I received as a contest prize from SMO forums. It was kitted up with the fabric, threads, pattern and self adhesive foam board. Thank you Lauren for the prize and the lovely Tea Party.

I also was able to put in some stitching on one of my own designs "The Night Before Christmas". I designed this for a special SAL offered to members of my stitching group at Needleworkers' Haven. We are all doing well with our progress. It makes me very happy to see a design of mine come to life. Here is my progress so far:

And one more SAL we are doing currently at Needleworkers' Haven is a Winter themed SAL. I haven't had much luck with finishing mine yet but I will get it done by the end of the year for sure. This has been a UFO since 2006. I thought it was time to get this one finished. LOL My current progress so far:

"That Snow Diet" by Samsarah Designs

That is all for right now. I hope to be back soon with more progress pics and maybe a finish or two. Thank you for taking the time to look at my works and for reading my blog. Have a wonderful day and weekend.

Blessings.

Happy Fall!

Fall has arrived in NY! I love this time of the year. Cooler weather, beautiful foliage and the smells are awesome.

It has been a long time since I had the time to come back here. Things are so very busy for me these days. I hope to do better with keeping up to date with my blog. I do thank everyone who has dropped in for a visit.
In honor of fall I took the time to stitch up a special little Member Only chart from SanMan Originals. It is called Autumn Side and stitched up so quickly. Special thanks to Sandy Dering for her beautiful designs.
With Halloween just around the corner I have been having lots of fun with my granddaughter. My daughter took her to pick out a pumpkin and they went on a hayride as well. I truly wish I could have been there to see it. We carved the pumpkin last week and boy what fun was had by all of us.

YUCK!

Not sooo bad.

Did I get it all?
Yep! I got it all!

Waaah-laaaaa!

I hope you enjoyed the pictures. Until next time....Happy Stitching!
